We have been a team since we were 14. Everything we know about real estate we learned on our own homes, our own money and our own moves.
We met at 14. We were voted Most Athletic in the same class, and we both earned All-State honors.
Danielle played college basketball and became a registered nurse. John played football at West Point, graduated in 2009 and commissioned as a Field Artillery officer.
While John served, Danielle kept her nursing career and the household moving. New York, Oklahoma, Colorado, Wisconsin, Washington, and a deployment to Afghanistan. At almost every stop we bought the house nobody else wanted, rebuilt it with our own hands, then sold it or rented it out when the next orders came.
Those houses turned into more than 100 flips, a set of rental homes and fourplexes, and a portfolio of self-storage properties.
We planted roots in FishHawk with our four boys. Danielle served as president of the Spartans youth football program, and John coaches and serves as its athletic director.
We got licensed and joined Red Sash, a veteran-owned and operated brokerage. John has known Mike Beum of Red Sash since West Point.
Danielle ran a nursing career and a family of six through every set of orders, and brought local businesses on board as sponsors for FishHawk youth football.
John led soldiers for 14 years, then built businesses on his own money: flips, fourplexes, rentals and self-storage.
Every move, I kept my nursing career going, found the schools, the pediatricians and the ball fields, and had four boys settled before the boxes were empty, usually while we were living in a construction zone.

Fourteen years as an officer taught me to plan backward from a deadline and say plainly what is happening. Building rentals, flips and self-storage taught me to negotiate with my own money on the line.
On your deal I am pulling comps, walking the house with a contractor's eye and working the numbers with you. I also coach and serve as athletic director for the Spartans.
